Sydney is split across two networks, and it changes your system
The northern, eastern and inner suburbs sit in the Ausgrid network. The west and south-west — Penrith, Blacktown, Liverpool, Campbelltown, Camden and the growth suburbs around Edmondson Park and Oran Park — sit in Endeavour Energy.
They are not the same. Export limits, approval processes and the rules around battery and inverter capacity differ between them. A design that sails through in St Ives can come back with conditions attached in Leppington. We check which network you are on before we design anything, and we lodge the application ourselves either way.

Sydney solar questions

They apply different export limits and approval conditions, which can change the size and configuration of the system you are allowed to install. We confirm this before designing anything.
Yes. We are based at Somersby and Sydney is core service area for us, north through to south-west. If travel meant we could not service a job properly we would tell you rather than take the deposit.
Usually, yes, but panel placement may be restricted — often to roof planes not visible from the street. We assess this at the site visit and design around it rather than discovering the problem at approval stage.
We do, though strata generally requires owners corporation approval first. We can provide the documentation and system detail you will need to put to the committee.
No. Every job is completed by our own licensed electricians. That is the entire reason the business is set up the way it is — we own the warranty and the workmanship, so we do not hand either to someone else.
