From first call to commissioned system

1. Assessment
We review your usage, tariff and switchboard, and inspect the site. If a Powerwall is the wrong answer for your home, we will tell you.
2. Design and approvals
We size the system, prepare the design and lodge the grid-connection application with your network operator — Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy depending on where you are.
3. Install and commission
Our own team installs, tests and commissions the system, sets up the Tesla app with you and registers the warranty in your name.
We handle the rebate paperwork
ECR is an Accredited Certificate Provider, so the federal battery discount is applied to your quote rather than claimed back later.

Powerwall questions, answered honestly
Not necessarily. Powerwall 3 has an inverter built in, which makes it very efficient on a new solar-and-battery install. If you already have a working inverter we will assess whether an AC-coupled arrangement makes more sense — and tell you straight if it does.
Most homes are well served by a single 13.5 kWh unit. Larger households, all-electric homes or properties with an EV often benefit from stacking a second. We size it from your actual usage data rather than guessing from your bill.
It can, depending on your load and how many units you install. In practice we sit down with you and choose which circuits are backed up — typically lights, fridge, internet and key power points — so the battery lasts through the outage rather than draining in an hour.
It means Tesla has assessed and approved our installation practices, and we install to their standard. It matters most at warranty time: a system installed and commissioned by a certified installer, with the warranty properly registered, is far less likely to give you trouble down the track.
